Delivery

Delivery costs £5.00 and is available on the date you chose at checkout. We will contact you to agree a delivery window. Because we do not offer collection, delivery is the only way to receive a cake and the charge is added to every order.

If your postcode is not listed, the checkout will tell you before you pay rather than taking your money for a cake we cannot bring you. Send us a bespoke request and we can sometimes make an exception for a larger order.

Menu cakes need at least 3 days. Bespoke cakes need considerably longer — usually a week or more, and three weeks or more for wedding cakes with a consultation.

We also cap how many cakes we take for any one day, so that every cake gets the attention it needs. If your date is full, the website will tell you at checkout rather than letting you book and then letting you down.

Someone needs to be there to receive the cake. We cannot leave a cake on a doorstep, with a neighbour, or in a porch — it is perishable and it will not survive. If nobody is there and we cannot reach you, we will bring the cake back to our kitchen and contact you to agree what happens next.

Once your cake has been handed over, please refrigerate it if it contains fresh cream, and keep it level and out of direct sun.

If something on our side stops us delivering — illness, an oven failure, weather that makes the roads unsafe — we will tell you as soon as we know and refund you in full. We are a one-baker kitchen, so we would rather be honest early than let you down on the day.

We do not ship nationally by courier. A hand-finished cake does not survive a parcel network, and we are not willing to send something we know will arrive damaged.
